Jeon Jaehyuk hailed from a very wealthy family. He grew up having it all: the finest threads, gourmet meals, and all other material items his heart desired. However, he didn’t grow up in the most loving environment. Their relationship was a bit stringent-- his parents dutifully taking care of his needs as they should, yet treating him as if he were another employee in their roster. Jaehyuk always felt a little sad about how distant he felt from them, but just accepted that this was a fact of his life.

Thus it goes without saying that his parents had very high expectations for him and wanted him to excel in all activities he partook in. He was homeschooled for most of his life, the finest tutors money could buy educating him in the matters of the world. There wasn’t a moment’s reprieve in his busy week, nor was there any interaction with peers his age. Jaehyuk always wondered if this was the tradeoff for being given a somewhat “cushy” life, believed it to be so and did his best to follow his parents’ orders.

However, it was tough. He loved the arts so much, and wished to become a performer of some sort. Dancing his away his frustrations and other pent up emotions was exhilarating, however his parents expressed heavy disagreement with his career decision. Jaehyuk found math to be enjoyable as well, but once again his parents expressed disagreement with him pursuing a pure math degree. It was as if there was nothing he could do that would satisfy them-- nor did they concern themselves with what their son wanted. Therefore he was on his way to become an electrical engineer: something that would please his parents as well as something he wouldn’t loathe doing the rest of his life.

Personality: A rather upbeat fellow that enjoys socializing despite his upbringing, however he has trouble connecting and relating with people since he was never taught how to socialize outside of the gatherings he had to attend with his parents. Jaehyuk is also a pretty down-to-earth, go with the flow type of guy, and tries not to question things too much. However he’s the opposite in class, asking questions the second one comes to mind (class seems to be the only environment where he can appear to be a normal human being well integrated into normal society).

Jaehyuk sometimes can come off as inattentive or rude due to his habit of spacing out-- his mind is always on his work, assignments, projects, etc.-- and a small lack of a filter. He doesn’t mean any harm, however!

Extra HCs/Trivia:
Lived in America for a couple of years while his parents were working there. Attended a private elementary/middle school hybrid during his time there and was promptly nicknamed ‘Jake’. Some opted to call him ‘JJ’, and his math class loved calling him ‘J-squared’. Learned to speak English fluently and harbored a love for dance here.Horrid workaholic-- will absolutely not stop working until he’s finished. It’s a habit he picked up from his parents. He enjoys working in a sense and will sometimes create work for himself. His personal record all-nighter was 75 hours and the consequences were something to behold.His closet is surprisingly modest-- but his simple t-shirts and jeans are of the finest quality!His living quarters are usually immaculate, but get trashed when he’s working on a project for school.Has two phones: one for contacting his parents and a personal one.Stays as far as he possibly can from social media.Also stays far away from anything luck-based as he doesn't have the greatest luck.Skilled marksman. Friends since childhood:[Type 1] Ever since [Muse] and Jaehyuk met that fateful day, the two have been exchanging letters since Jaehyuk’s busy schedule didn’t allow for many, if any, physical hangouts. Now that he’s somewhat free from his studying prison, the two can finally and freely hang out in person.
